About The Position
The Medical Technologist IV position provides medical technology services in a hospital or other laboratory setting, under the direction of a physician or medical director. This includes establishing procedures, maintaining a laboratory unit, and performing laboratory tests. This role may perform the most difficult and advanced tests, examinations, and analysis in one or more specialized fields of medical technology, and assist in the general operation of a large laboratory.
Requirements
- Possess a current Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the Department of Health, State of Hawaii.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional medical technologist experience which involved a variety of laboratory procedures and test on samples of body fluids, tissues and other materials, the purpose for which is to assist others in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- At least one (1) year of experience must have been comparable to the Medical Technologist III level, which involves performing laboratory tests in one or more specialized fields of medical technology.
