About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking energetic, outgoing, and responsible individuals with prior management experience and a passion for excellent customer service to join their team as an Assistant Store Manager. This full-time position offers a $1,000 hiring incentive, paid in installments based on continued employment. New hires must start within 21 days of offer acceptance and work at least 240 days to receive the full bonus. The Assistant Store Director is responsible for observing and enforcing all store rules and company policies, actively supporting the Store Director, and performing all duties of the Store Director in their absence. They contribute to the profitable operation of the store, handle customer complaints, and ensure all store personnel are courteous to customers. The Assistant Store Director must maintain a neat appearance, adhere to the company dress code, and follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school education with some college background preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in the supermarket industry
- Prior management experience required
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- Must successfully pass office clerk training after hire
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Responsibilities
- Observe and enforce all store rules and company policies.
- Actively support the Store Director.
- Perform all duties of the Store Director in their absence.
- Contribute to the profitable operation of the store.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Ensure that all store personnel are courteous to customers.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
- Observe company dress code.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures.
- Provide coverage to other locations as needed.
