About The Position

The Medical Technologist (MLS) performing Intraoperative Parathyroid Hormone (IOPTH) testing is responsible for providing rapid, accurate laboratory testing to support surgical procedures for patients undergoing parathyroid surgery. This position ensures timely analysis and reporting of intraoperative PTH results to the surgical team, maintains regulatory and quality compliance, and serves as a critical liaison between the operating room and the laboratory to facilitate optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical or scientific discipline required.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory required.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent, or relevant categorical certification required.
• Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
• External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in position.
