Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician License
- Certification/eligibility in one or more areas: Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Serology
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related discipline
- 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience
- Generalist certification/license preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
- Process and analyze proficiency testing samples per established protocols
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient results
- Monitor pending logs and resolve outstanding test work
- Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot specimen or result issues
- Ensure turnaround time requirements are met for STAT orders
- Apply independent judgment when reviewing and correlating results
- Provide operational support in the absence of supervisory staff
