About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker to provide medication support and direct care to individuals in a healthcare setting. The role includes meeting patients’ medication needs and assisting with daily living activities. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., two days per week, including every other weekend and every other holiday. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from the United States.
• Direct Care Worker Certificate or CNA certification.
• Valid Medication Technician certification through the State of Pennsylvania, with observations.
• Previous experience in a direct-care role; experience in a personal care home is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of medication administration and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Punctuality and good attendance.

• Experience in a personal care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor and document patients’ responses to medications and report concerns to the healthcare team.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive, nurturing environment.
• Maintain accurate patient-care and medication-administration records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with medication-management and direct-care practices.
