Medical Tech Generalist
About The Position
The Medical Tech Generalist independently performs and interprets automated and manual clinical laboratory tests accurately and precisely within established time frames. The role also performs quality performance activities, quality control procedures, ordering, computer functions, and other assigned duties. The Medical Tech Generalist maintains technical competence and current knowledge, communicates professionally in writing and verbally with staff and clients across the Holy Redeemer Health System, and demonstrates strong customer service skills. Employees are responsible for carrying out their work in keeping with Redeemer Health’s Mission and Values. The role contributes to the provision of health care and supports Respect, Compassion, Justice, Hospitality, a Holistic Approach, Stewardship, and Collaboration in workplace interactions and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- ASCP or equivalent registration preferred.
