About The Position

Titan Placement Group is seeking a Medical Surgical (Med Surge) Registered Nurse (RN) for a Surgical Unit in Gainesville, FL. This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System. Gainesville offers a vibrant cultural scene with museums, performing arts, and live music, as well as extensive outdoor recreational opportunities including state parks and freshwater springs. The role involves collecting patient data, advocating for patients, analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses, identifying expected outcomes, ensuring patient safety, managing time and resources effectively, and educating patients and families about their care.

Requirements

1 year of acute care RN experience
Open to LTAC RN experience.
Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Bachelor’s Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
Florida RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active Florida RN license required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
Act as an advocate for patient safety.
Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
