We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pine Ridge Service Unit - MSA - Emergency Medicine, who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. This individual must be able to act with both efficiency and care, ensuring the well-being of our people. The MSA - Emergency Medicine will take on a primary role in caring for patients, fostering a relationship built on trust, and collaborating with others in the healthcare team. Together, staff will provide care that honors our traditions, meets the needs of the community, and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive and respectful experience for both patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Specialty : MSA - Emergency Medicine
  • Licensure : Clinician (W2)
  • Certifications : AHA BLS
  • Experience : High school diploma

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing and charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately.
  • Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly
  • Maintains competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education.
  • Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned and specified by site.
