About The Position

We are seeking dependable and customer-focused Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) to support a federal government healthcare contract in the Bethesda, MD area. This role is essential to maintaining efficient patient flow and delivering high-quality administrative support within a clinical environment.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working directly with patients (front desk, clinic, hospital, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Must meet required medical and vaccination guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional demeanor in fast-paced, patient-facing environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line customer service to patients, visitors, and clinical staff
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments in electronic systems
  • Perform patient registration, admissions, and check-in/check-out
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a high-volume setting
  • Coordinate patient transportation, travel, and related documentation
  • Monitor patient flow and communicate delays professionally
  • Support clinical staff with administrative and operational tasks
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations
