About The Position

They are looking for a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented Medical Social Worker (MSW) to join their team on a per-diem basis, serving the South Bay area. The role offers a collaborative work environment with support from a dedicated back-office team, allowing professionals to make a significant impact on patients' lives. Requirements
- Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in California.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial evaluations during the admission process to assess the patient's psychosocial status.
- Identify socioeconomic and emotional factors that may impact the patient's treatment plan.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Consult directly with attending physicians regarding any necessary changes to treatment.
- Maintain and submit accurate, timely clinical documentation (evaluations, care plans, progress notes).
- Provide monthly supervision to the social work assistant.
