About The Position
Under the Director of Social Work, the Medical Social Worker incorporates social work functions and skills into the inpatient hospital setting. Medical Social Workers are integral members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, providing support to individuals facing health-related challenges. They bridge the gap between medical professionals and patients, ensuring that emotional, social, and practical needs are addressed alongside medical treatment. The role is in Social Services at UHS Wilson Medical Center, with a rotational shift and 40 regularly scheduled hours per week. Compensation is $33.63–$50.45 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work.
- NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Limited Permit. Employees hired with a limited permit must obtain their full license within one year after obtaining the limited permit.
