About The Position

These promotional opportunities are for current IAFF Local 2595 Paramedics, internal King County Medic One Harborview trained, University of Washington certified Paramedics. This recruitment will be used to build an eligible list of candidates for future Medical Services Officers (MSO's) vacancies. This competitive recruitment will test for the Operations Paramedic Supervisor category and the Administrative Paramedic Supervisor category. Testing is scheduled to occur at the Medic One Office beginning on Monday, September 14th, through Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. Candidates will be assigned to test on one of the dates. The scenario-based assessment labs will test for leadership, interpersonal, tactical and administrative competencies. This is a single test for both career pathways. In the supplemental questionnaire, you are required to select one or both for which you wish to be considered. Upon completion of the MSO Test, participants will be ranked on either the Operations Paramedic Supervisor Promotional list or the Administrative Paramedic Supervisor Promotional List or both based on their score.

Requirements

  • Current career service King County Medic One paramedic with a minimum of 5 years of service at King County Medic One.
  • Valid Washington State Driver License.
  • NEOGOV/Government Jobs on-line job application.
  • Supplemental questions.
  • Adherence to OSHA/WISHA guidelines including completing mandatory trainings on time and obtaining required immunizations.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Development of effective working relationships.
  • Protect the privacy and security of protected health information as defined in State and Federal Law.
  • May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours.
