About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a Medical Secretary to join the Bariatric Surgery office located in Hartford. This person is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and care to all patients and clients and is responsible for the coordination of administrative tasks. The Medical Secretary has administrative responsibilities including patient greeting, check-in, answering phones, triaging phone calls, scanning, scheduling appointments and procedures for exams and regularly communicating with office staff. The medical secretary prepares and maintains patient charts and obtains pre-certifications and authorizations for patients' exams.

Requirements

  • Associates preferred
  • 1 -2 years' experience in healthcare
  • Medical Secretary/equivalent on-the-job experience required
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Excellent computer abilities.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
