About The Position

The Medical Scribe will transcribe patient visit notes into the electronic medical record system. We limit decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and supervisors manage work or establish practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. The Medical Scribe contributes to administration of care management by ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing fast and performing editing. The Medical Scribe works with Providers and transcription equipment including editing and correcting medical dictations performed by speech recognition software. Perform basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically, it works on routine and patterned assignments. Use your skills to make an impact.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist, or similar, such as provider documentation/notes and medical charting
• Transcribe and maintain a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and jargon, and editing practice

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems
• EMR Experience preferred
• Willingness to travel to nearby clinics to help when needed
