About The Position
At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. PAM Health has over 80 hospital locations and employs over 11,000 people across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the highest level of compassionate care ensuring the best possible outcome for our patients. The Medical Scribe is responsible for performing all clerical and information technology functions for physicians. This includes primary responsibility of the operation of the electronic health records and electronic dictation system. The incumbent must be able to anticipate physician needs, must be discreet, tactful, and modest in performance of duties so as not to distract medical staff from patient care. This position requires great attention to detail and must be reliable. This is a non-exempt position.
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Enrolled in college courses
- 1 year experience working in a similar position
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of EHR programs and Windows environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated and versatile to handle many tasks
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Healthcare related field
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position or clinic setting
Responsibilities
