About The Position

We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison for West Austria in the field of Inflammation/Pulmonary Fibrosis, starting immediately. In this scientific expert role, you will be an important link between all stakeholders involved in drug development. You will foster high-level scientific dialogue and consensus, raise awareness and educate about diseases by building and maintaining scientific peer-to-peer relationships. You will identify the medical needs of stakeholders and patients and recognize opportunities for data generation and relevant insights that contribute to the further development of health solutions. In doing so, you will support the cross-functional team in the therapeutic area and help each member to perform their individual tasks in the best possible way. Requirements

  • Completed studies in medicine or natural sciences, ideally with a doctorate, as well as several years of experience as an MSL in the field of inflammation and/or related scientific/clinical areas
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Austrian healthcare system
  • Experience in building customer-oriented solutions and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills combined with a confident and competent demeanor, as well as curiosity, openness, and empathy
  • Excellent German language skills and very good English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as confident use of virtual communication tools

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing scientific dialogue with external experts (up to 80% of working time) to gather relevant insights and data for identifying medical gaps and trends
  • Conception and realization of individually adapted strategies and action plans, aligned with the needs, insights, and challenges of stakeholders
  • Analysis of care gaps in the patient pathway
  • Close collaboration with the cross-functional team in the therapeutic area to implement scientific and clinical activities
  • Conveying complex medical-scientific information and data with comprehensive knowledge of the product, indications, and studies, conducting scientific presentations, and participating in professional congresses
