About The Position

The Organ Health General Nephrology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a key field-based scientific resource for clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations. This role is based in the Southeast territory and focuses on providing scientific and clinical presentations on Natera’s Organ Health division, specifically concerning the genetics of Chronic Kidney Disease, in support of Renasight and donor-derived cell free DNA (Prospera) to general nephrology providers. The MSL will address customer needs by responding to information requests about marketed and developing products, and will serve as a medical and scientific resource for the Natera Sales and Marketing teams. A key aspect of this role involves developing, maintaining, and managing interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from the transplant and genetics communities, as well as other relevant healthcare professionals. Additionally, the MSL will provide result review and clinical support for ordering clinicians and their teams, and develop educational materials for healthcare providers and patients. This position involves regular handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) and requires completion of HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire, as well as maintaining current training status. Employees must also pass a post-offer criminal background check. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GC with Master's and board certification required.
  • Professionals with relevant clinical sciences knowledge in nephrology preferred.
  • Prior MSL experience preferred.
  • Living within 30 min of an airport and within geography preferred.
  • Outgoing and confident demeanor.
  • Independent thinker and persuasive communicator.
  • Experience in establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholder functions (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D) and external customers.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology, immunology and genetics helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific and/or clinical presentations on Natera’s Organ Health division focused on genetics of Chronic Kidney Disease in support of Renasight and donor-derived cell free DNA (Prospera) to general nephrology providers.
  • Address the specific needs of customers by responding to requests for information about our marketed and developing products.
  • Serve as a medical and scientific resource for the Natera Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (“KOLs”) from the transplant and genetics communities as well as other relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Result review and clinical support for ordering clinicians and their teams as requested or indicated for individual samples or aggregate results.
  • Develop educational materials for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • Maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
  • Pass a post-offer criminal background check.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
