About The Position

ViCentra is a Dutch medical technology company with a clear mission: to make the lives of people with diabetes easier, more flexible, and more livable. Kaleido is the smallest, lightest, and most precise insulin patch pump in its class – a unique lifestyle product that is discreet, intuitive, and customizable, feeling more like personal technology than a traditional medical device. In combination with Diabeloop's clinically validated DBLG1-/DBLG2 algorithm and Dexcom CGM, the hybrid-closed-loop system enables modern, automated insulin therapy. Germany is one of our most important European markets – with high dynamism, a strong diabetological care landscape, and a clear strategic priority for ViCentra. ViCentra is a rapidly growing scale-up with short decision-making processes and an environment where innovation, scientific excellence, and team spirit come together. To build our Medical Affairs activities in Germany, we are looking for an experienced individual who actively shapes the scientific dialogue with the diabetes community and firmly establishes Kaleido as an evidence-based therapy option within the professional world.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in natural sciences or medicine (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Nutritional Sciences, Biochemistry, or similar); a doctorate is an advantage.
  • Several years of professional experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a comparable Medical Affairs role, ideally in the field of diabetology, endocrinology, or medical technology.
  • In-depth understanding of modern diabetes therapy: insulin pump therapy (CSII), CGM, AID systems, as well as current guidelines and study landscape.
  • Experience in building and maintaining KOL networks, as well as supporting scientific projects (IIS, RWE, publications, Advisory Boards).
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements (FSA Code of Conduct Medical Devices, MDR, HWG, possibly Pharmakodex).
  • Strong scientific communication and presentation skills – at a peer level with specialist physicians and researchers.
  • Structured, self-reliant way of working and high willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally.
  • Fluent English (reading, discussing, and presenting scientific publications).
  • Proficient in using digital tools, CRM, and Medical Information systems.
  • Valid driver's license Class B.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain sustainable scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, diabetologists, diabetes centers, and professional societies at eye level.
  • Conduct scientific peer-to-peer dialogue on insulin pump therapy, AID systems, and the clinical evidence surrounding Kaleido.
  • Identify, evaluate, and support Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) as well as Real-World Evidence projects.
  • Translate complex clinical data into understandable, target-group-specific content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train and empower internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support) on medical-scientific content related to Kaleido and diabetes therapy.
  • Provide structured insight feedback from the market to Medical Affairs, R&D, and the international HQ, actively contributing to the further development of our solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Country Director Germany, the Commercial Team, and Medical Affairs HQ – while strictly maintaining medical-scientific independence.
  • Conceive and deliver scientific presentations at congresses, symposia, and training events, and lead Advisory Boards with relevant KOLs from the diabetes community.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to actively shape the Medical Affairs function of a growing international MedTech scale-up in Germany.
  • A meaningful role at the interface of science, therapy, and patient benefit.
  • Flat hierarchies, direct contact with the Country Director, Commercial Lead, and Medical Affairs HQ.
  • An innovative, international environment with real scope for development and short decision-making processes.
  • Attractive remuneration package including car allowance, modern equipment, and individual further training opportunities.
  • A dedicated, collegial team that values performance and shares responsibility.
