About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Scheduler to join a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (previous call center experience preferred but not required).
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage high call volumes.
Proficiency with computers; Epic EMR experience preferred.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Experience with EMR systems.
Background in healthcare administration or pharmacy tech roles.

Responsibilities

Schedule and reschedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
Handle inbound calls (60–100 per day) related to scheduling, referrals, prescription refills, and general inquiries.
Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, billing, and collections.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Support front office operations, including check-in/check-out and directing patient requests.
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for scheduling and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
