The Medical Scheduler is responsible for the registration and scheduling process for complex patients. This role involves updating the system with registration, scheduling, and insurance information, preparing patient disability and out-of-work/school paperwork, and discussing financial obligations and regulatory forms with patients. The position requires the ability to work in multiple systems during patient-facing interactions and telephone call receipts to complete accurate registration and support clinical workflow. The Medical Scheduler must understand and support the practice and hospital's strategic plan, policies, procedures, and initiatives, while exemplifying guiding principles and championing an optimal patient experience. Ensuring patient and employee safety is a top priority, promoting a safe environment, and promptly reporting issues are also key aspects of this role.
