About The Position

OhioGuidestone has launched a new initiative to bring primary physical health services to compliment the behavioral health services we traditionally offer! We have a newly established health center focused on an integrated, whole-person approach to care—addressing physical, mental, and preventive health needs in a collaborative setting. We strive to improve patient outcomes by combining compassionate care with innovative outreach and education. We are seeking a motivated and personable student intern interested in healthcare, sales, and community engagement. This role provides hands-on experience in medical sales strategies, patient outreach, and practice growth. The intern will play a key role in increasing patient volume by building relationships, promoting services, and supporting marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate (Business, Marketing, Pre-Med, Biology, Public Health, or related field preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in healthcare, wellness, or medical sales
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable engaging with community members and professionals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with social media or marketing tools
  • Basic understanding of healthcare systems or patient care models
  • Sales, customer service, or outreach experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing patient outreach strategies to increase awareness and appointments
  • Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, gyms, and schools
  • Educate potential patients and partners about the center’s integrated, whole-person care model
  • Support referral network development with other healthcare providers
  • Conduct market research to identify target demographics and growth opportunities
  • Assist with social media, email campaigns, and promotional events
  • Track outreach efforts and help analyze effectiveness of marketing strategies
  • Provide general administrative support related to patient acquisition efforts
