About The Position

Odyssey Medical is seeking individuals to join their Event Medical Team in Ontario. The role involves providing front-line patient care and risk-matched responses to medical emergencies at various events. Team members act as an extension of the client's presence, maintaining a welcoming yet alert demeanor. The company fosters a culture of mutual support, effective communication, and team collaboration to ensure skill development in pre-hospital care.

Requirements

  • Certification: EFR, AMFR, EMR, AEMCA, or second-year paramedic student.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset (welcoming, informative, helpful, respectful).
  • Willingness to engage and apply proper procedures, guidelines, and protocols.
  • Confident demeanor, whether working independently, with a partner, or as part of a larger team.
  • A transportation plan (car, carpooling, rideshare) to get to/from the event site.
  • Requirement to work a minimum of 10 weekend days between September 1st and October 31st.
  • Commitment to work approximately 4 shifts or more per month as casual after October 31st.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working around horses is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize risk-matched care as a primary response to on-location medical emergencies.
  • Act as an extension of the client's eyes and ears, projecting a welcoming yet alert presence.
  • Engage and apply proper procedures, guidelines, and protocols.
  • Work independently, with a partner, or as part of a larger team for major planned events.
  • Circulate within the event site and among participants.
