About The Position

This position is responsible for managing patient’s health records and history.

Requirements

• 2 Years Medical Records Experience Required
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry skills
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Basic computer skills to scan, organize and access electronic health records
• Time management skills
• HIPAA Compliance
• Understanding of company Policy and Procedures

Responsibilities

• Preparing patient charts daily.
• Ensuring medical records are organized and complete.
• Requesting medical records from outside organizations (From PCP, PT Offices, Radiology departments).
• Responding to patient request for their own records (ROI) (For themselves, Another provider, Insurance company, Worker’s Comp or Disability Claims).
• Responding to Attorney request (For certified medical records, Narrative Reports, WKC-16B).
• Handling phone requests.
• Transferring of care requests (Providing continuity of care outside providers when requested).
• Preparing invoices and maintaining balance sheet for medical records billings.
• Maintaining a log to ensure all requests have been completed in timely manner.
