This Structural Engineer will support a wide range of projects across industries including entertainment, commercial, industrial, government, detention, and parking structures. As a Structural Engineer with AECOM, you will: Build analytical and design skills. Conduct engineering design under the limited supervision of an experienced engineer. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the limited supervision of an experienced engineer. Collect and analyze data under the limited supervision of an experienced engineer. Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision. The Structural Engineer is responsible for assisting more experienced staff with the design of major building projects across the United States (projects to have construction costs of up to $750M). Potential projects come from a wide variety of industry sectors including entertainment, commercial, industrial, parking structures, government, and detention. The Structural Engineer will work collaboratively with more experienced engineers on large projects and be given the responsibility to lead/work independently on smaller structural design projects and tasks. Daily work includes: Perform structural analysis and design Coordinate work with other design disciplines and prepare contract documents Construction administration Author structural reports, assessments, and studies.
