About The Position
The Medical Records Technician supports Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers by maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records. This position processes, analyzes, and compiles medical documentation; obtains records from inpatient and external healthcare facilities; and ensures information is appropriately incorporated into electronic health records. The Medical Records Technician works closely with medical providers and staff to support accurate documentation and quality patient care. All employees are expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, competency, and a commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and high-quality service to patients, coworkers, and other customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years’ experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Medical terminology is required for this position.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong computer skills and experience with healthcare databases and applications.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required and be insurable.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification preferred.
