About The Position

The Food Services Cook prepares and serves daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals at San Poil Treatment Center. Responsibilities include meal preparation, serving, dishwashing and sanitizing, setting up and cleaning food service equipment, and maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen, freezer, refrigerator, and storage areas. The Cook follows all applicable federal, state, local, and Tribal food safety and sanitation standards and works under the direction of the Food Services Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 12-18 months of restaurant type cooking experience in food services
  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Must be insurable
  • Ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, and smell
  • Ability to frequently use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to routinely stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, including rotating shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance

  • Experience in an institutional, military, or large commercial kitchen
