Performs a wide variety of Medical Records Department functions which require an extensive knowledge in medical records processes. These include but are not limited to the following: confidentiality and release of health care information; assembly of discharged records forms, analysis of medical record documentation for completeness and authentication; filing and retrieval of incomplete and complete imaged records; identifying records to be scanned. Reviewing and verifying the master patient index; preparing scanning indexing and quality checking records in the image system. Work closely with all departments to provide records, information and to promptly retrieve patients' records.
