About The Position

The Medical Record Technician (MR Tech) compiles, processes, and maintains records of hospital patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. Performs a variety of moderately complex tasks that are highly confidential and are defended by established policies and procedures. Maintains the integrity of the legal health record so complete and accurate records are available for patient care and business use in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School/GED
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management or similar field
• Previous experience in medical records dept. or health related field
