Medical Records Specialist
About The Position
We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Specialist at our Germantown, TN clinic. Previous experience in medical records is required, and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous. Gastro One is comprised of a team of gastroenterologists and allied health professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care that families can rely on. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in medical records required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Update patients' electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to requests for the release of information (ROI) for medical records.
- Validate requests and authorizations for releasing medical information.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation of services provided to our patients.
- Prepare charts for patient visits.
- Adhere to company policy regarding the release and acquisition of medical records.
- Run patient recall reports and provide physicians with a list of recalls.
