About The Position

The primary purpose of this job position is to implement assigned modules of the EHR Platform (PointClickCare) in all facilities supported by PACS, in accordance with current federal and state guidelines, and the facility’s established privacy policies and procedures. This is a hybrid remote position requiring one week per month in the Riverside Office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Ability to use dictation equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
  • Knowledgeable in computers, data retrieval, input, and output functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information, coding, indexing, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Implement assigned modules of the EHR Platform (PointClickCare).
  • Receive and follow work schedule/instructions from supervisor.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, and directing EHR-related projects.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other PACS Support team members and departments.
  • Provide PCC Navigation training and re-training on assigned modules.
  • Audit assigned modules to support legal teams, facility admission teams for compliance, and facility nursing teams.
  • Issue monthly reports covering audit results to management and relevant teams.
  • Consult with Regional Directors, Regional RAI Specialists, Regional Directors of Therapy Services, and Legal team as appropriate.
  • Maintain spreadsheets on facility audit trends and monitor for improvement.
  • Alert facility personnel of audit trends and schedule follow-up webinar trainings.
  • Assist with maintaining a Masterfile of all Facility leaders, main contacts, and superusers.
  • Ensure departmental computer workstations are properly logged off or protected by a password-protected screen saver.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training programs.
  • Attend and participate in approved workshops, seminars, etc.
  • Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to supervisor immediately.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor.
  • Ensure supplies are replenished in work areas.
  • Assure work/assignment areas are clean and records/files are properly stored.
