About The Position

The Medical Records Courier job is to manage the secure delivery and retrieval of confidential medical records and physician orders. The employee will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.

• Previous experience in a driver, courier, or delivery-related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery and pickup of confidential medical records and physician orders.
• Obtain physician orders and accurately record physician names, order numbers, and dates received.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes while considering traffic patterns, travel time, and mileage.
• Deliver orders to designated locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Retrieve completed and signed orders when available and reconcile them against current deliveries to prevent duplication or overlap.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all deliveries and pickups, including dates and times.
• Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
• Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
