About The Position

The Medical Records Coordinator serves as a liaison between operations and referring physician offices. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical operations, including scheduling, registration, and the technologist's role. The coordinator will work directly with operations and referring practices to provide support through educational training and operational assistance, such as ordering, scheduling job aids, and image transfer protocols. The goal is to identify opportunities to streamline referring physician processes, enhance the use of Advanced Radiology, and offer efficient solutions and services. The position involves representing Clinical Operations on project teams and task forces, working collaboratively and organized, and contributing to achieving targeted volumes and organizational objectives. The coordinator must understand external market forces affecting operations and revenues, maintain professionalism and courtesy, and support internal and external customers. They will also assist with special project implementations and image retrieval, creating value-added solutions and performing job responsibilities ethically and compliantly, maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in eRad RIS and eRad PACS systems.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.
  • Understand most aspects of operations to include, scheduling, registration, RIS account review, PACS query and Patient Folder.
  • Work directly with operations and referring practices to offer opportunities for support through office educational training (specific to their needs) and or operational assistance (ordering, scheduling, image and report retrieval).
  • Support Operations in the sites with special project implementations.
  • Communicate, cooperate, and consistently function professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, patients, visitors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance.
  • Follow all local, state and federal laws concerning employment to include but not limited to: I-9, Harassment, EEOC, Civil rights and ADA.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, RadNet and site protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Follow HIPAA, compliance, privacy, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Practice universal safety precautions.
  • Promote good public relations on the phone and in person.
  • Adapt and be willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.
  • Report to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintain satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with RadNet guidelines.
  • Consistently adhere to the time management policies and procedures.
  • Complete job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.

  • Develop and distribute written information to large groups in a clear and concise manner.
  • Represent Clinical Operations on various project teams and task force assignments.
  • Work in an organized manner, discuss ideas, and receive support before implementing.
  • In conjunction with Operations, help achieve targeted volumes for business operations to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Understand external forces in the market that could affect operations and revenues.
  • Be professional and courteous, supporting internal and external customers efficiently, effectively, and positively.
  • Support Operations in sites with special project implementations and image retrieval.
  • Create solutions that add value to the organization.
  • Perform job responsibilities in an ethical, compliant manner; comply with laws affecting the workplace and/or job responsibilities.
