About The Position
Centurion is seeking a per-diem Medical Records Clerk to join their team at Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. This role involves maintaining offender health records, retrieving records for appointments, filing health data, and initiating records for new intakes. The clerk will also review records for completeness, file as required, and prepare reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience with medical records and services
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Completion of a medical terminology course
