The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for collecting, maintaining and making available to authorized users timely, accurate and complete patient health information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous medical records filing training and experience

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, locate, pull, assemble, track and see to the appropriate transport of records requested by other departments in accordance with established standards.
• Keep the requester of any record that was not in the file notified of efforts to locate.
• Accurately files all charts belongings to assigned aisles to appropriate location daily.
• Accurately files all loose papers for assigned aisles within three business days of receipt.
• Maintains clean aisles.
• Peforms other work as needed/assigned.
