Connected Home Health is hiring a full-time Medical Records/Scheduling Specialist. This position will serve our Beaverton and Portland Administrative Offices. Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in clinical records management and administrative duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to process accurate medical records workflow.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management and governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills and public relations skills.
  • Able to deal tactfully with patients, family members, referral sources and payors.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Pre-employment criminal background check, and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all daily clinical records functions including maintaining accurate execution of clinical records policies.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent patient and staff information to ensure patient rights are protected.
  • Ensures clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with State, Federal, and Agency regulations.
  • Monitors aged unsigned physician orders and submit second and third requests for signed orders to overdue physicians, calls, or coordinates a visit the offices of seriously overdue physicians.
  • Supervises the use of the clinical records information system and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of the system including upgrades and enhancements.
  • Process weekly clinical reports for Clinical Supervisor/Manager/Director supporting Case Conference and Clinical Accountability Meetings.
  • Schedule and appropriately document patient schedules in a timely manner.
  • Participate in coordinating care with leadership and patient inter-disciplinary team.
