About The Position

As a Medical Receptionist, you play a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone contacts our office through the completion of their treatment plan. Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion. Register new patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems. Answer multi-line phones and respond promptly to patient inquiries. Collect copayments, balances, and process patient payments according to office procedures. Communicate effectively with therapists regarding scheduling needs and patient concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong computer and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
  • Flexible schedule to meet clinic needs

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of medical front office, medical receptionist, or healthcare administrative experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
