About The Position

Pain & Rehabilitation Physicians, P.C. is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our Southfield team. We are looking for someone who understands the pace and responsibilities of a medical front desk and can help us provide an efficient, professional experience for our patients. Pain & Rehabilitation Physicians, P.C. is a busy specialty medical practice focused on musculoskeletal medicine, physical rehabilitation, interventional pain management, and non-surgical treatment of painful conditions. Requirements

Previous medical office or healthcare front desk experience is strongly preferred.
Has experience working at a medical office, outpatient clinic, physical therapy office, specialty practice, or similar healthcare setting
Understands medical scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and front desk workflow
Is comfortable working with computers and electronic medical records
Is reliable and punctual
Communicates professionally with patients and coworkers
Can multitask without becoming overwhelmed
Pays attention to detail
Learns new systems quickly
Works well as part of a team
Is interested in a stable, long-term position

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients professionally and efficiently
Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
Verify patient demographic and insurance information
Assist with patient intake and required paperwork
Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments
Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments
Communicate with physicians, medical assistants, and physical therapy staff regarding patient needs
Help maintain accurate schedules and smooth patient flow
Keep the front desk and reception area organized and professional
