About The Position

Insight is currently seeking Medical Receptionists to join our team in the following roles, with multiple permanent, full-time vacancies available:

Float (Coverage across all clinics in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Shift times and location are determined on the morning of each shift. A monthly vehicle allowance is provided.)
Southside Rotating (Coverage across Millwoods, Harvest Pointe, Lendrum, Leduc, Heritage, and Windermere clinics. Shift times and location are determined ahead of time. A vehicle allowance is not provided.)

Requirements

• Grade 12 graduate.
• Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minute
• Self motivated
• Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environment
• Personal skills which include attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interact with patients in a tactful and courteous manner
• Knowledge of office routines, schedules, and protocol

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset
• Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset

Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in of all patients
• Documentation of patient information on computer
• Ensures all previous examinations are imported
• Porter and change patients in preparation for exams
• Handle all incoming report and image requests
• Requesting previous exams from outside facilities
• Looking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patients
• Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results
• Provide patients with exam preparations
