About The Position

The Medical Receptionist for the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority is the first point of contact for patients at their assigned location. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a smooth, positive and patient focused environment. The Medical Receptionist will perform their job duties in a professional manner while assuring that all the needs of the patients are met with a pleasant demeanor.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Requires 2 (two) years of work experience in an office environment.
  • Requires HIPAA and Privacy training within 90 days of employment.
  • Requires blood borne pathogen training annually.
  • Requires CPR/First Aid within initial 90 (ninety) days of hire.
  • Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License is required and be insurable.
  • Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
  • Ability to utilize RPMS and EHR proficiently.
  • Ability to utilize a multi-line telephone with good telephone etiquette.
  • Must be proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Requires well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others and to give instructions.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives.

  • Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
  • Requires the ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.

  • Certificate preferred in office administration, medical administration or related field.
