About The Position

The CTHCA TEMP Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering and managing data, ensuring compliance with security and confidentiality protocols. This role involves reviewing data for errors, organizing information for easy access, and collaborating with team members. The position requires adherence to applicable legislation, funding, and organizational requirements, with a strong emphasis on the confidential handling of sensitive information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to understand, speak, communicate, and read the English language.
  • Ability to utilize a multi-line telephone with good telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency with common data entry software, such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or database management systems.
  • Attention to detail to identify inconsistencies or duplicates and correct errors during entry.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with proper security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Enter written data points into digital databases, spreadsheets, or other organizational systems.
  • Review new and existing data points for errors and missing information.
  • Sort data into categories to ensure streamlined searches and easier access.
  • Communicate with team members to discuss data requirements and compare data as needed.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, funding, and organizational requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure confidential handling of sensitive team member information in line with data protection policies and laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
