Bilingual Medical Receptionist - Spanish Required
About The Position
Tru Medical is an award-winning adult primary care practice serving East Williamsburg and Clinton Hill in Brooklyn. We are a NYS-accredited Patient-Centered Medical Home, a multi-year insurance quality award winner, and our patients rate us 4.87 stars. Our providers offer primary care, women's health, chronic care for diabetes and hypertension, ultrasound, walk-in visits and telemedicine. Our mission is Quality Affordable Care for All. Many of our patients are Spanish-speaking, and for a lot of them we are the first office where someone listened. We are small enough that providers and managers know your name, and we are growing, so people who live our values move up. This is a front desk role. There are no clinical duties.
Requirements
- Fluent Spanish and English (required)
- 1+ year at a front desk, ideally in a medical office
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- eClinicalWorks experience is a plus, and we train
Responsibilities
- Greet every patient by name, check them in and check them out
- Schedule appointments and help patients with referrals
- Answer calls routed from our call center; repeat back what the patient needs before you act
- Verify insurance, scan and fax documents, keep the chart accurate
- Stay calm and helpful when a patient is frustrated, and bring in a teammate or manager when it will get a better result
- Between patients, ask the team what you can take off their plate
