About The Position

United Vein & Vascular Centers is a rapidly expanding healthcare innovator focused on providing state-of-the-art, minimally invasive vein and vascular care. We are seeking a dynamic Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) to join our team for our new clinics. This role is crucial for greeting patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The position requires travel to various clinic locations in the NY Area, including The Bronx, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Lower Manhattan, and Brooklyn, with a start date in September. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a medical setting in customer service.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ECW a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provided schedule guidelines.
  • Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EMR system.
  • Audit schedule to ensure patient insurance eligibility.
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
