For PHC assignments, they collect patient documentation for nursing review and update registration information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). They also conduct insurance eligibility checks, collect copayments, and schedule appointments. The role involves contacting patients regarding appointments, assisting with transportation coordination, and participating in quality improvement activities. The Medical Receptionist monitors and responds to emails, complies with HIPAA regulations, and performs other assigned duties. For Article 16 Clinic assignments, they also answer and screen multi-line telephone calls, receive and distribute mail, and register new patients in the EMR.
