About The Position

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join its Cardiology Team. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a day shift schedule and no requirements for working weekends or holidays. The role is located at 620 Stanton Christiana Road, Suite 206, Newark, DE 19713. The primary responsibility of this position involves scheduling for the office, in addition to other Office Assistant duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be bilingual English- Spanish

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Schedules appointments
• Check patient eligibility
• Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages
• Process referrals
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collects payments according to insurance requirements
• Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
