Responsible for performing highly responsible varied or specialized administrative office support work which involves a variety of difficult work procedures or specialized substantive work. Follows the Behavior Health Program Policy and Procedures referral and appointment processes to ensure clients receive and appointment with appropriate program professionals in a timely and professional manner with respect given to age and culturally competent services. The Medical Receptionist is the first level in a career path design for medical administration services. Advancement to Medical Receptionist requires working knowledge of the terminology and procedures used in the area of assignment and the ability to research and extract information from commonly used databases, record work-in-progress data to support research and reporting, enter data to specialized files such as Electronic Health Records (EHR).
