The Medical Receptionist serves as the initial in-person contact for patients within the medical practice. This role encompasses all front office duties assigned by the clinic, including greeting patients, managing phone calls, assisting patients and their families, scheduling appointments, handling registration, performing charge entry, posting payments, balancing batches, reconciling cash, and operating various basic office equipment. This is an intermediate-level position that demands excellent customer service skills, discretion, sound judgment, a pleasant and professional demeanor, and a clear phone voice. The role involves frequent interaction with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and the general public.
