About The Position

Insight Medical Imaging, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations, is seeking Medical Receptionists for full-time, permanent positions at its Unity Square and Millwoods clinics. Insight aims to connect meaningfully with patients, physicians, and employees by providing excellent patient care, collaborating with physicians for accurate diagnoses, and fostering a supportive environment for employees. The company operates in Edmonton, surrounding regions, and Fort McMurray.

Requirements

Grade 12 graduate.
Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minute
Self motivated
Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environment
Personal skills which include attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interact with patients in a tactful and courteous manner
Knowledge of office routines, schedules, and protocol

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset
Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset

Responsibilities

Greeting and checking in of all patients
Documentation of patient information on computer
Ensures all previous examinations are imported
Porter and change patients in preparation for exams
Handle all incoming report and image requests
Requesting previous exams from outside facilities
Looking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patients
Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results
Provide patients with exam preparations
