Eye Associates of New Mexico has an outstanding career opportunity within our Patient Service Team! This position is Part-time, 20 hours per week. Eye Associates of New Mexico is the largest Ophthalmology and Optometry practice in the Southwest. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced, high volume medical office environment
Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Training and/or experience in bookkeeping preferred
Microsoft Office experience preferred

Responsibilities

Contact patients prior to their appointments to obtain correct insurance and demographic information for preparation of their medical charts
Accurately enter patient information into the computer
Check for valid insurance plan referrals
Verify co-payments; copy insurance cards
Check the patient out after the visit
Collect appropriate payment and issue receipts
Complete financial/payment arrangements for lab patients
Batch daily registration forms
Complete daily cash reports
Answer patient questions.
