About The Position

Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer and patient service both in person and over the phone while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical office, healthcare, customer service, or receptionist experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Computer proficiency and data entry experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Receptionist certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with company policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Welcome and greet patients, visitors, and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, demographic, and financial information.
  • Collect patient payments and assist with insurance and billing-related inquiries.
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by communicating with providers and clinical staff regarding patient arrivals and scheduling updates.
  • Perform administrative duties including answering phones, data entry, filing, faxing, copying, and scanning documents.
  • Route telephone calls appropriately and collaborate with call center representatives to ensure excellent patient support.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and waiting areas.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
