Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- CMA or CNA
- ICD-10 and CPT-4 Coding / Insurance Billing Knowledge
- Previous Healthcare Experience
Responsibilities
- Greets patient and verifies identification of patient.
- Completes appropriate registration form(s).
- Schedules examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Answers telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Orders and maintains office supplies.
- Responsible for relaying pertinent clinical information provided by patient at time of examination to the technologist.
- Determines type of imaging study necessary for each patient after reviewing patient's written order and prepares paperwork for technologists.
- Performs a variety of administrative tasks such as, registration of patients, data entry into the Radiology Information System, log entries and maintains record keeping and filing systems for all exams.
